A Pink and Navy Nursery for a darling newborn girl.
When beginning any design project, one of my first tasks is figuring out what pieces of furniture
are staying in the space. In this case, my client already had the crib and changing table, as well
as a pink and white gingham chair. I wanted something fresh and feminine and unique, and was
so excited when my client agreed to the pink and navy color scheme that I proposed.
A simple chandelier, purchased at an online discount store, was spray painted a crisp white,
and boring white shades were covered with polka dot fabric and pom pom trim to add some fun.
The charming pennant adorns the crib, and ties together the many blue fabrics we used in the room.
A collection of blue plates, anchored by a mirror, reinforce the color scheme.
The punches of blue are really showcased against the pale pink walls.
Simple Ikea sheers are trimmed in navy pom pom fringe, and custom DIY pillows
on the gingham chair make a comfy spot to rock baby to sleep.
A bundle of branches, with hanging fabric birds serves as a unique mobile over the changing table.
The silhouettes are of the other four children in the family, and the "A" is for the new baby, Amelia.
